The courageous heart of Irena Sendler

The courageous heart of Irena Sendler
April 20, 2009 Ignacio Fiallos

Her father once told the young Irena, “If she saw someone drowning she should try to save them, even if she could not swim”. Irena Sendler did see a lot of people drowning of starvation and disease in the Warsaw Ghetto during WWII. Irena’s outrage for such cruelty overcame any fears of her own safety. The lessons are many from this story, but the one related to this blog is that meaningfulness of our purpose and path will overcome any fears you may have of failing or looking foolish. Meaning in your life will drive you to reach extraordinary heights. The purpose of Irena’s action led her to reach heights, which words in a blog fail to give justice.

Find your purpose, commit to your path, enjoy the journey!
