As a sports psychologist and business keynote speaker, I am always looking for a great story for my keynote speeches. Here is one:
Phil Mickelson had a masterful performance at the Masters by using his strengths as a risk taker. On the 13th hole at August National, Phil hit his drive into the pine straw. Most people would lay up-not Phil. He is a risk-taker. That is his strength. He hit a 6 iron from behind a tree to within 5 feet. He missed the putt for eagle but made a birdie and went on to win his third green jacket.
When we use are strengths, we will be successful in golf, business and life. Phil used his strengths under intense pressure and he came out a champion.
