On 60 Minutes last night (March 22, 2009), President Obama mentioned how important it is to manage his emotions when leading-he said “we can’t govern under anger”-he was referring to the AIG debacle with their bonus packages and that we cannot make hasty decisions even if they did something that was not appropriate. President Obama also mentioned that the hardest part of his job is to stay emotionally connected to
each decision-and he has to make important decisions each day. For our new President to have an important impact, he must stay mentally and emotionally tough-everyday-and I believe he knows that-luckily.
